The city of Busan and Classic Busan will hold the 2025 Classic Park Concert on June 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. in the Hialeah Lawn Square of Busan Citizens Park, offering citizens a free and accessible way to enjoy classical music ahead of the official opening of the Busan Concert Hall on June 21.
Now in its third year, the Classic Park Concert was launched to build excitement for the concert hall and introduce classical music to the wider public in an informal outdoor setting. The performances are open to all and do not require a ticket, seating is first-come, first-served.
Day 1 (June 7): A gala concert led by conductor Kim Sang-hoon will feature world-renowned soprano Jo Sumi, tenor Kim Hyun-soo, violinist Lee Hyun-woong, and the 2025 Season Classic Busan Orchestra and choir, performing beloved opera arias and orchestral highlights.
Day 2 (June 8): Busan Concert Hall Artistic Director Chung Myung-whun will conduct the KBS Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 and Piano Concerto No. 5 (“Emperor”), featuring acclaimed pianist Sunwoo Ye-kwon.
