Busan Step Up Dance Festival to be held on May 16-18

The 2025 Busan Step Up Dance Festival is set to electrify the city from May 16 to 18 at the Busan Cinema Center.
This annual event has become a cornerstone of Busan’s cultural calendar, attracting dancers and enthusiasts from around the world.
This year’s festival features a diverse lineup of competitions and performances.
Highlights include the World Street 1:1 Battle, where dancers showcase their skills in freestyle, waacking, and hip-hop categories.
The Dance Performance World Championship will see teams of three or more compete for top honors, while the Junior U-17 Performance Championship provides a platform for young talents.
Additionally, the K-POP Cover Dance Championship invites fans to perform routines inspired by their favorite idols.
The festival also offers a range of side events. Attendees can participate in the Step Up Random Play Dance sessions, explore the Step Up Street Market, and attend dance classes led by renowned instructors.
A special Step Up Concert is scheduled for the evening of May 17, featuring performances by artists such as Dongwoo from INFINITE and JinJin from ASTRO
With a total prize pool exceeding 38 million KRW, the festival not only celebrates dance but also supports the growth of the global dance community.
