The city of Busan has revealed the fourth lineup for the Busan International Rock Festival, the nation’s longest-running rock festival.
Scheduled to take place from October 4 to October 6 at Samnak Ecological Park in Sasang-gu, the event has already generated significant buzz with the announcement of headliners, including the iconic British rock band Kasabian, singer-songwriter Anne-Marie, and Japanese punk rock legends ELLEGARDEN.
The newly announced lineup includes popular bands such as N.Flying, known for their energetic performances, and KARDI, recognized for their intense and colorful sound. The modern rock band Lidore, known for their contemplative and powerful music, will also perform.
Additionally, the lineup features Rolling Quartz, a band gaining attention for their charismatic stage presence, and Lilium, a Taiwanese group celebrated for their unique sound and emotive lyrics.
Rising artists like Jungwoo, with his delicate and lyrical songwriting, and Low Hanging Fruits, known for their refreshing sound, will also take the stage.
In collaboration with the festival, the program “Rookies on the BU-ROCK” aims to discover and support emerging artists. The top 15 teams from the first round of evaluations will compete for a chance to perform at the 2024 Busan International Rock Festival, with total prize money of 9 million won and opportunities to perform at future international festivals.
To build anticipation for the festival, a pre-event titled “Road to BU-ROCK” wa held on August 17 in Busan and August 18 in Daegu. This event will give audiences a taste of the festival atmosphere.
