Starting next month, ferry services between Busan and Tsushima Island will increase to meet growing traveler demand.

The Panstar Group announced that its Panstar Tsushima Link ships will expand operations beginning October 1st.

Currently, Panstar Tsushima Link ships run once daily from Monday to Friday, and twice on weekends. Beginning next month, the service will add an additional trip on Thursdays and Fridays, increasing the total weekly sailings from 9 to 11.

New departure times include a 12:40 p.m. trip from Busan to Tsushima Hitakatsu, alongside the existing 8:40 a.m. service. The return journey from Hitakatsu to Busan will also see a new 12:40 p.m. sailing on Fridays, in addition to the 4:30 p.m. departure.

With this expanded schedule, Panstar expects to transport up to 37,000 passengers per month, or approximately 400,000 annually.

Additionally, service to Izuhara via Hitakatsu will shift to Mondays and Wednesdays, with departure times unchanged.
