Gyeongnam Arboretum (Gyeongnam province)

Gyeongnam Arboretum will host a four-day Children’s Day celebration from May 3 to May 6, offering nature-based experiences for kids and families.

The Gyeongsangnam-do Forest Environment Research Institute announced the event as part of Family Month festivities.

Children can enjoy hands-on activities such as decorating flying butterflies and making insect crafts, each open to 400 participants.

On May 5, additional forest play events like forest curling and pine cone throwing will be held to mark Children’s Day itself.

The lawn garden, previously restricted for grass restoration, will reopen in May, providing more green space for visitors.

At the visitor center, guests can view a photo exhibition titled “Whispers of Nature, Listen to Pictures,” showcasing the arboretum’s seasonal landscapes and plant diversity.

Additionally, the fragrant garden in front of the wildlife observation center will feature a bonsai exhibition, displaying trees curated by the arboretum.
