Gyeongnam Arboretum is now in full bloom, welcoming visitors with vibrant colors and fragrant air as spring arrives in earnest.
According to the Gyeongsangnam-do Forest Environment Research Institute, over 20,000 spring flowers, including daffodils, crocuses, and tulips, have been planted to create a lively and refreshing landscape for the season.
The flower beds, which have been carefully maintained since last winter, are spread throughout the main pathways, surrounding the tropical greenhouse, and around the arboretum’s scenic ponds.
The planting effort is part of an initiative to offer guests new sights to enjoy and create memorable springtime experiences.
To enhance the arboretum’s charm throughout the year, more than 10,000 wildflowers such as daylilies, lilies, and astilbes have also been added across the grounds. These seasonal additions aim to keep the arboretum blooming not just in spring but through all four seasons.
In addition to the stunning scenery, the arboretum will continue to run its nature education programs through November.
Two forest interpreters and two instructors will be permanently stationed to lead educational sessions, including tree interpretation tours and nature play activities designed for children.
