The city of Seoul is introducing ‘Soul Spots,’ iconic locations from popular K-dramas, movies, and K-pop scenes, where the “soul” of beloved characters comes to life.

These places are now part of a unique tourism experience enhanced by AI-guided plaques.

The plaques, featuring QR codes, provide multilingual narrations in Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese, allowing visitors to easily access the stories behind these famous filming sites.

The project will launch with 30 carefully selected locations from popular dramas, films, and K-pop. Some highlights include The Queen of Tears filming site at The Hyundai Seoul, Vincenzo at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), and Crash Landing on You at the Dong-A Digital Media Center. These spots have been chosen based on big data analysis, global popularity, and expert evaluations.

To promote the ‘Soul Spots,’ Seoul City has partnered with tvN to host a virtual running event from October 4 to 18.

Participants can choose from five routes inspired by famous K-content locations, ranging from beginner to pro levels, and those who complete the courses have the chance to win special running kits.

Additionally, an offline event will be held on October 10 in collaboration with the “7979 Seoul Running Crew.”

This event will allow participants to explore the city’s scenic spots while staying active, with an exclusive running experience designed for up to 80 participants.
