With this year’s extended Chuseok holiday offering up to 10 consecutive days off, airlines are ramping up domestic and international flights to meet soaring travel demand, especially among low-cost carriers.

Air Busan will increase its Busan–Da Nang, Vietnam service from seven to 11 flights per week from September 3 to 30, and to 14 weekly flights from October 1, restoring pre-pandemic frequency.

The airline will also expand the Busan–Matsuyama, Japan route from three to six weekly flights in October and double its Busan–Vientiane, Laos service from two to four.

Between October 1 and 12, it will operate 16 irregular flights to Nagasaki, Japan, eight to Toyama, and add six extra flights to Taipei, Taiwan.

Jeju Air plans 234 additional flights during the holiday, adding capacity to Japan, Greater China, Southeast Asia, and Oceania.

Eastar Jet will increase flights by 126, focusing on popular destinations like Da Nang, Nha Trang, Sapporo, and Taipei.
