Joongang Park, Geumgang Park, and Busan Citizen Park have been selected by the Korea Forest Service as part of the ’50 Beautiful Urban Forests’ list for 2024.

This competition was designed to raise awareness of the value and role of urban forests, considering five categories: climate change, public participation, health promotion, economic effects, and landscape improvement.

The three parks are managed by the Busan Facilities Corporation.

Joongang Park was highly evaluated as a ‘Resident Participation Urban Forest’ with its dense cypress forest trail and educational areas for ceremonial events and experiential learning.
