(Sejong Summer Festival)

From August 28 to 31, the heart of Seoul transforms into a massive open-air dance floor as the 2025 Sejong Summer Festival takes over Gwanghwamun Square.

Organized by the Sejong Center, this free outdoor festival welcomes citizens of all ages to experience a different genre of dance each evening, from shuffle and breakdance to traditional Korean movement, street dance, jazz, and swing.

Highlights include performances by famed street dance crew HOOK, led by AIKI, and the fusion of trot and techno with traditional dance by Chumseoncap.

On the final day, the square will come alive with the rhythms of live swing and jazz bands alongside dance battles and jam circles.

More than 250 citizen dancers will join the professional performers, and interactive workshops will allow audience participation, especially during the Swing & Jazz Night.

Reservations opened August 7 at 2 pm via the Sejong Center website. All performances are free and open to the public.
