Jinju City is set to host the 2025 Korea Garden Industry Expo under the theme “Life with Gardens: Practical Gardens in Everyday Life,” advancing its goal of becoming a leader in wooden architecture and garden culture in Korea.

Scheduled for June at Chojeon Park, the expo will focus on promoting garden culture and fostering industry development by integrating modern trends such as health, environment, and sustainable living into practical gardening.

The Korea Garden Industry Expo, a national event sponsored by the Korea Forest Service, offers a platform for industry professionals, businesses, and government officials to explore the latest advancements in garden design, landscaping materials, and garden management techniques.

The expo highlights cutting-edge products through various booths, demonstrations, and interactive programs, allowing visitors to experience new garden trends firsthand.

Experts will also lead seminars and workshops, providing educational opportunities for citizens to learn about garden creation and management. The expo aims to inspire creativity and practical skills through immersive garden experiences.

Since its inception in 2020, the Korea Garden Industry Expo has traveled to several cities, including Suncheon, Ulsan, Sejong, and Seoul. Each year, the event has expanded its scope, contributing to the growth of the garden industry through innovation and community engagement. The 2025 edition in Jinju will continue this legacy by turning Chojeon Park, once a landfill, into a vibrant, eco-friendly space for all ages.

Bringing Gardens into Daily Life

Jinju’s 2025 expo will introduce modern garden concepts, such as weekend farms, rural stay gardens, and apartment veranda gardens, blending nature with urban lifestyles. The event will also feature the All-in-One Garden Center, the Korea Garden Show, and international conferences to explore the role of gardens in a global context.

The 2025 expo marks a milestone for Jinju as it hosts its first national event in 15 years. This event will bolster the city’s image as a hub of eco-friendly woodworking architecture and garden culture. The city aims to use this opportunity to position itself as a leader in garden innovation, laying the groundwork for future international garden events and fostering a long-term vision of the “Wolasan Local Garden.”

Jinju City envisions a transformation into a “city in a garden,” blending urban living with natural beauty, and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens through garden culture.
