(Jinju City)
Jinju City will operate the 2025 Water Leisure Sports Experience Class every Wednesday through Sunday from June to August near the Mulbitnaru Shelter on the Namgang River.
The program is hosted by the Gyeongnam West Federation of the Korea Maritime Cadet Corps and aims to promote water safety, healthy leisure culture, and greater access to water activities.
Participants can enjoy non-motorized water sports such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and survival swimming classes, all free of charge.
The program is open to the public, with preschoolers and elementary students allowed to participate if accompanied by a guardian.
Advance reservations can be made through the Marine Leisure Sports website (www.oleports.or.kr), and on-site registration is also available.
The annual event has received strong public support for offering a fun and refreshing way to enjoy summer while learning essential water safety skills.
