Flowering Namhae will take place on April 18 and 19 at Chungnyeolsa Plaza, after being temporarily postponed due to recent large-scale forest fires in the Yeongnam region.
The rescheduling reflects a gesture of consideration for affected areas, with the original program set to proceed largely unchanged.
The event will open on Friday, April 18 at the National Hometown Namhae Orak-gwan with a lineup including Samdong Nanta, fusion gugak, Batu Kata, and a performance by Namhae County’s public relations ambassador Ha Dong-geun. The official opening ceremony will follow at 7:30 p.m. at Chungnyeolsa Square.
Although the drone fireworks display had been canceled due to the continued serious wildfire disaster alert, the drone light show paired with the Namhae Bridge landscape lighting will proceed as planned.
Saturday’s program, April 19, is designed with families in mind and includes magic juggling, tightrope walking, and acoustic and indie music performances.
At 1 p.m., the ‘2025 Namparang Trail Walking Together’ event will offer participants a guided nature experience, with commemorative badges and scarves for those who complete the route.
Other highlights include the trial operation of the 1973 Namhae Bridge Experience, hands-on family activities like traditional costume fittings, cotton candy making, face painting, and chalk drawing.
Visitors can also explore popular local attractions such as the Namhae Bridge Observatory, the Deck Road, the Infinity Observatory, and the soon-to-be-named Wall of Hope.
For more information, including detailed program times, visitors are encouraged to check the Namhae County official website.
