Fun in Korea: Gimhae’s Yulha Cherry Blossom Festival to be held on March 29-30

The 6th Yulha Cherry Blossom Festival will be held along Yulha Cafe Street on March 29 and 30.
The festival will feature a diverse lineup of resident performances on the 29th, including acts by a cultural lecture team, a K-POP dance team, an acoustic band, children’s dance and string ensembles, a choir, cheerleaders, musical jump rope performers, and a taekwondo demonstration, as well as professional magic shows and DJ performances.
A Cherry Blossom Karaoke Contest revived due to popular demand from last year, will take place on the 30th at 2 p.m. with 13 finalist teams competing.
Additionally, a Cherry Blossom Children’s Sketch Contest is scheduled at the Yulha Relics Exhibition Hall on the 29th at 10 a.m.
Throughout the festival, various booths will offer hands-on experiences such as crafting grip toks, mugs, flower bouquets, 3D cherry blossom hairpins, and kids’ nail art, along with opportunities to wear hanbok and capture commemorative photos along the scenic cherry blossom path.
Local markets, including the Daedong-myeon and direct sales centers for local food and agricultural products, will also be in operation.
