Gyeongnam province offers 18 specially recommended spring flower spots featuring a variety of blooms — from cherry blossoms and daffodils to tulips, rape blossoms, poplar flowers, and grass flowers.
Here are some perfect places to embrace the beauty of spring from March to April.
11 FAMOUS CHERRY BLOSSOM SPOTS IN GYEONGNAM

1.Changwon – Jinhae Gyeonghwa Station Cherry Blossom Road — In the spring, the city is transformed by cherry blossoms during the Jinhae Gunhang Festival (March 29–April 6), with Gyeonghwa Station providing a picturesque backdrop as blossoms flutter against passing trains.
2.Tongyeong – Bongsutgol Cherry Blossom Road — This scenic road stretches from Yongpyeong Intersection to Yonghwasa Square and hosts the Bongsutgol Flower Festival (March 29–30), enhanced by nearby cafes, workshops, and the Jeon Hyeok-lim Art Museum.
3.Sacheon – Cheongnyongsa Double Cherry Blossoms — Famous for its clusters of pink double cherry blossoms in April, this peaceful temple setting offers abundant photo opportunities and an enchanting atmosphere.
4.Yangsan – Mulgeum Hwangsan Park — As the largest riverside park along the Nakdong River, it bursts into bloom during the Mulgeum Cherry Blossom Festival (March 29–30), making it ideal for a leisurely stroll.
5.Uiryeong – Garye Cherry Blossom Road — Enjoy a quiet walk along the road from Garye Honguijeong to Garye Public Stadium, with the nearby Sotbawi Rock, which is said to bring endless wealth and honor.
6.Haman – Ipgok County Park — A tunnel of cherry and red plum blossoms forms around Ipgok Reservoir, creating a stunning driving course, complemented by the historical charm of the nearby Malisan Tombs.
7.Goseong – Daegamyeon 10-ri Cherry Blossom Road — Experience a beautiful pink cherry blossom tunnel on this scenic drive, with nearby dinosaur-themed Danghangpo attractions that delight children.
8.Hadong – Hwagae 10-ri Cherry Blossom Road — This nationally recognized spot, which hosts the Hwagae Market Cherry Blossom Festival (March 28–30), offers breathtaking views of cherry blossoms set against wild tea fields.
9.Hamyang – Baekjeon 50-ri Cherry Blossom Road — A renowned driving course stretching from Hamyang-eup to Baekun Village in Baekjeon-myeon, celebrated during the Baekun Mountain Cherry Blossom Festival (April 5–6), with nearby Sangrim Park steeped in history.
10.Hapcheon – Baekri Cherry Blossom Road — A scenic drive that begins at Hapcheon-eup, passes through Hapcheon Dam, and ends in Bongsan-myeon, near the Hapcheon Film Theme Park where visitors can also try on period costumes.
11.Geochang – Yongwonjeong and Deokcheon Seowon – A photographer’s favorite, featuring over 100-year-old cherry trees alongside a charming bridge, small pond, and traditional seowon that create an idyllic setting.

1.Jinju – Jinju in the Wolasan Forest — The Moonlight Garden dazzles with waves of yellow daffodils and miniature daffodils, while offering activities such as woodland woodworking, camping, and net adventures.
2.Gimhae – Yeonji Park — Tulips in full bloom line the walking path near the park’s lake, complemented by nearby ancient tombs—such as the Daeseong-dong Ancient Tombs (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Geumgwan Gaya Royal Tomb—and charming cafes along Bongridan-gil.
3.Miryang – Wiyangji — Known for its stunning poplar flowers set amidst a dense forest of willows and pines, Wiyangji is a must-visit destination for photography enthusiasts during peak bloom.
4.Geoje – Gonggoji — This floral paradise features bright yellow daffodils, snowdrops, palm trees, thyme, and Chinese chives, creating a picturesque view reminiscent of a painting, with Naedo’s charming yellow-roofed houses in the background.
5.Changnyeong – Nakdong River Rape Blossom Field — Home to the largest rapeseed flower field in the country (330,000 pyeong) along the Nakdong River, this spot offers a breathtaking landscape during April, celebrated with the Nakdong River Rape Blossom Festival (April 10–13).
6.Namhae – Darangi Village — Filled with yellow rape blossoms set against the backdrop of the blue sea, Darangi Village offers an extra touch of charm with an island garden overlooking the Namhae coast.
7.Sancheong – Saengcho International Sculpture Park — This unique cultural park blends ancient and modern art, where pink flower grass blooms in full force every April and May, harmoniously complementing white sculptures to create an unforgettable artistic landscape.
