Miryang City announced that the new cultural complex ‘Bae-nyu’ officially began operations on April 4.
The space, located in Gyo-dong Hyanggyo and Goga Village, has been established as part of the city’s cultural city project and is intended to serve as a rest and convenience space while preserving the aesthetics of traditional Hanok architecture.
The name ‘Bae-nyu’ refers to the image of sunlight filtering through a narrow gap.
Located at 9, Miryang Hyanggyo 3-gil, the facility comprises three Hanok buildings, totaling 922 square meters of floor space on a land area of 1,147 square meters. It includes a craft exhibition and sales center, a café, a traditional tea experience zone, and a resting area.
The center will operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and weekends, excluding Mondays. The café offers seasonal signature teas, traditional teas made with local agricultural products from Miryang, and handmade tea-related snacks.
Beginning mid-April, the venue will host weekly programs every Saturday, including performances by local artists and traditional tea experiences, aiming to provide visitors with opportunities for both cultural enrichment and relaxation.
