The Nakdong River Council, an administrative body composed of six local governments in the Nakdong River region — Yangsan, Gimhae, and four districts in Busan (Buk-gu, Saha, Gangseo, Sasang) — announced the launch of the “Nakdong River FESTA,” a collaborative fall festival.

Running from August 27 through late October, this large-scale event marks the first time these local festivals have been linked together to create a unified celebration.

Nakdong River FESTA brings together various autumn festivals from the six regions, including the Myeongji Market Mackeral Festival (Gangseo-gu, Busan), Gimhae Flower Festival (Gimhae City), Nakdong River Gupo Ferry Festival (Buk-gu, Busan), Sasang Riverside Festival (Sasang-gu, Busan), Dadaepo Sunset Film Festival (Saha-gu, Busan), and the Yangsan Chrysanthemum Festival (Yangsan City).

A special “Nakdong River FESTA SNS Certification Shot Event” will be held at each festival site, starting with the Myeongji Mackerel Festival on August 27 and concluding with the Yangsan Chrysanthemum Festival at the end of October.

Participants can take a photo at the festival and upload it to social media for a chance to win a 20,000 won gift card. Additionally, those who participate in two or more events will be entered into a raffle to win prizes like smartwatches and AirPods.

This festival collaboration is expected to draw significant participation from both local residents and tourists, offering a diverse and enjoyable experience while contributing to regional revitalization through the cooperation of the six local governments.
