Namhae-gun is enhancing the German Village Square with a new rampart and observation deck, aimed at adding charm to the upcoming beer festival in October.
Namhae County began construction on the “German Village Square Wall and Observatory” on August 1 and will last until September 30. The project includes a 75m-long, 1.5m-high wall with two observation spaces, designed with a German spire concept.
In addition to the wall and observatory, the project will involve painting the exterior walls of square buildings and remodeling the restrooms.
Post-festival, Namhae County plans to build the Deutscher Imbis and update the exhibition content in the German Exhibition Hall.
During construction, the German Village Square will remain accessible, and the German Exhibition Hall, Bayreuth, and souvenir shops will operate normally.
However, the square’s restrooms will be closed from the second week of August for remodeling, with alternative restrooms available near the tourist information center.
