Hanyangdoseong routes (Seoul Metropolitan Government)

Seoul City has unveiled a recommended walking course along Hanyangdoseong, the historic Seoul City Wall, just in time for the spring equinox.

The suggested route, spanning 18.6 kilometers, is divided into four distinct sections that reflect the Wall’s diverse charms.

The Namsan section is celebrated for its blooming cherry blossoms, while the Naksan section is noted for its striking nighttime views.

The Baekak section offers impressive panoramic vistas, and the Inwang section exudes a literary ambiance, echoing the legacy of poet Yun Dong-ju.

Last year, more than one million domestic and international visitors explored Hanyangdoseong, with over 10,000 people receiving completion certificates upon finishing the course.

City officials describe the Wall as a living historical space and a welcome urban retreat, and they plan to continue enhancing its accessibility and safety for all citizens.

Detailed information, including designated certification points and related facilities, is available on the Hanyangdoseong website and at local exhibition centers.
