Starting in May, Seoul Grand Park will introduce a weekend garden therapy program called “Weekend N Garden,” aimed at providing healing and stress relief through hands-on gardening activities.
The program will be held at the park’s Forest Therapy Center and is designed to help participants reconnect with nature and restore mental and physical well-being.
“Weekend N Garden” combines the benefits of forest and garden therapy. The program invites participants to engage in various interactive experiences with soil and plants as a way to ease stress and inject vitality into daily life.
The program will be held for three consecutive Saturdays, from May 3 to May 17, with two sessions each day (9:30–11:30 a.m. and 2–4 p.m.) Each session is limited to 8 participants, and the total cost for the three-week course is 30,000 won. Participants are required to attend all three sessions upon registration.
Activities include “Creating Your Own Herb Garden,” where individuals plant and care for herbs such as rosemary and basil known for their therapeutic qualities. Another key feature is the “Yearlong Relay Garden,” which involves participants cultivating and managing a garden over time, from removing weeds to harvesting food, offering insight into the cycle of life.
Other healing experiences include forest walking, hammock meditation, herbal foot baths, and hinoki ball therapy.
In addition to the new program, Seoul Grand Park’s existing forest therapy programs—’Yeo-yu Dream,’ ‘Vitality Dream,’ and ‘Happiness Dream’—will now also be available on Saturdays. These programs are held at the Forest Therapy Center and Healing Forest from Tuesday to Saturday, with 90- to 120-minute sessions conducted multiple times daily.
Reservations are required for all sessions, with each program accommodating between 8 to 15 participants. Interested individuals can register through the Seoul Public Service Reservation System at yeyak.seoul.go.kr.
