Seoul’s official character Haechi has gone global in a collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, launching a silent 2D animation with the iconic Tweety.
Titled “Hide and Seek with Haechi and Tweety,” the animation celebrates Haechi’s first anniversary since its renewal and showcases famous Seoul landmarks through a whimsical storyline.
The animation, first aired on Cartoon Network Korea on May 1, features Haechi and Tweety playing hide and seek across Gwanghwamun Plaza, Namsan Tower, DDP, and Han River parks, while subtly highlighting Seoul’s policies such as the Han River Bus and the International Garden Expo.
Since its release, the video has aired across six Asian countries reaching 38 million households and amassed 17 million views in three weeks. Viewers have praised the unique blend of Korean and global pop culture.
Seoul City plans to release limited-edition Haechi x Tweety merchandise at international events to boost global visibility.
