(Seoul City Government)

Seoul is set to open its first-ever dog-friendly campsite in October, located in the Noul Park area of Sangam-dong.

The city announced that reservations for the first camping experience will begin on September 16.

The new dog-friendly campsite covers 3,000 square meters and includes 16 camping sites, a dog playground, and a unique “Doggie Play Garden” featuring dog-safe plants.

Each camping site is designed with a wooden fence for privacy and safety, allowing dogs to roam freely without disturbing neighboring campers.

The sites are equipped with tables, electricity, and drinking water facilities, although guests are required to bring their own cooking equipment as there are no fixed fire pits.

The campsite offers separate play areas for small and large dogs to ensure safe interaction. The “Doggie Play Garden” is planted with 18 species of dog-safe flowers and plants, providing a sensory experience for the pets.

Starting in October, the campsite will be open for regular use. Reservations can be made through Interpark Ticket from the 16th at 2 p.m. The cost is 33,000 KRW per team, with a maximum of four people and two dogs per site. For those interested in camping in October, reservations open on September 16.

Before the official opening, the city will conduct a trial run from September 6 to September 22. A total of 64 teams will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with 16 teams participating in each of the four sessions. Participants will be asked to provide feedback to help the city make final adjustments before the full launch.
