A burst of color and fragrance will take over Busan Citizens Park this spring as the city hosts the “5th Busan Spring Flower Exhibition” from May 2 to May 6.

Under the theme “Flowers in My Arms, Busan – Be Happy”, the exhibition offers a vibrant escape into nature for citizens seeking beauty in everyday life.

Organized by Busan City in collaboration with the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF) Busan Headquarters and over 40 organizations, the five-day event at Dasom Square is designed not only to delight visitors but also to boost the local floriculture industry, which has faced challenges due to economic slowdowns.

This year’s exhibition features an array of special attractions.

Visitors can enjoy spring flower sculptures, bonsai and floriculture art displays, and a floral design competition showcasing works from professional florists and designers.

The event will also include a national flower tea brewing contest and a flower direct market, where locally grown flowers from Busan’s mountainous districts will be sold at discounted prices.

A wide variety of interactive experiences will also be available, such as flower arrangement workshops, bouquet making, flower crown crafts, soap making, and even urban rice seedling planting. These hands-on programs aim to engage families and individuals of all ages.

The exhibition will open with an official ceremony on May 2 at 11 a.m., held on the main stage at Dasom Yard in Citizens Park.
