ecological exploration trail

(Tongyeong City)

Tongyeong City has completed an 800-meter “Ecological Exploration Trail” in the Deokdong Village area of Hado, linked to Saryang Bridge.

This scenic trail offers a peaceful, healing space for both tourists and residents, including hikers in Saryang-myeon.

Part of Tongyeong’s 2024 tourism development initiatives, the trail was built with a budget of 1 billion won, stretching from Saryang Bridge to Donggang Lighthouse.

It features a deck road, a palm mat path, pergolas, and benches, creating an inviting space for leisurely walks.

A camellia photo zone, set against the backdrop of the lighthouse, adds a picturesque spot for visitors to capture great photos for Instagram.

Saryangdo, traditionally popular with climbers of Oknyeo and Chilhyeon Peaks, has challenging terrain that can be difficult for elderly visitors and young children.

The new trail allows people of all ages to enjoy the coastal views and tranquil forest atmosphere, making it a more accessible destination for everyone.
