The 19th Busan International Fireworks Festival will take place on Saturday, November 9, at Gwangalli Beach.

The city of Busan City announced extensive traffic control measures in place from November 4 to November 9 to ensure safety and smooth flow due to the high volume of expected attendees.

Key Traffic Control Measures for Gwangan Bridge on November 4-9

Partial Closures:

Upper Level: Closed from November 4 (Monday) to November 6 (Wednesday), 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., with one lane closure.

Full Closure of the upper level will be in effect on November 9 from 6:30 p.m. to midnight.

Lower Level: November 6 (Wednesday), 9 a.m. to November 9 (Saturday), 6:30 p.m., with one-lane closures in the direction of Haeundae and Nam-gu.

Complete Closures:

The entire upper and lower levels of Gwangan Bridge will be closed on November 9 from midnight to 6 p.m.

Staged Road Closures on Festival Day on November 9

To accommodate festival activities and manage traffic flow, road closures will occur in stages:

Stage 1 (10 a.m. – End):

Gwanganhaebyeon-ro: Closed between Yeonsan Intersection and Millak Square.

Hwangryeongsan Tunnel: Partial closure from Gyeongdong Gas Main Branch to Hwangnyeong Summit.

Stage 2 (2 p.m. – End):

Haebyeon-ro (partial): From Millak Square to Suyeong River Exit, including the main event area.

Suyeong-ro: The main road from Yeonsan Intersection to Gwangan Bridge will be controlled for limited access.

Stage 3 (4 p.m. – End):

Extended traffic controls around Millak Square, Haeundae area, and connecting roads. Total closure of the main routes leading to Gwangalli Beach area for anticipated pedestrian traffic.

Additional Full Closures (5 p.m. – End):

Gwangan Bridge: Entire bridge closed to vehicles.

Extended Area Control: Roads near Suyeong-ro and surrounding access points will remain closed for the duration of the event.

Transportation Tips

Due to extensive road closures and the high influx of visitors expected, the city recommends using public transportation. Extra public transport options will be provided for ease of access, and parking around Gwangalli Beach will be restricted.
