Hadong-gun is developing and enhancing four public forest roads to create accessible walking paths that highlight the region’s natural beauty.

This initiative aims to meet the growing interest in walking and provide more people with the opportunity to experience the area’s picturesque landscapes.

The county has identified 12 potential walking routes, totaling 52.1 km, focusing on public forest roads.

These include: Okjong Jeongsu (1.9 km), Seori-Ugye (4.0 km), Seongjebong (7.0 km), Mijeom-Heungryong-Ugye (6.3 km), and others.

The final selection of four routes will be based on factors such as accessibility, connections to nearby tourist attractions, and parking convenience. Once selected, these routes will be further developed to enhance the walking experience.

Additionally, Hadong-gun is working on the Seiam hiking trail maintenance project, which began in June and is progressing smoothly. This project aims to establish a healthy walking culture and offer citizens and visitors a refreshing escape into nature.

Hadong Songnim Park also features a popular barefoot walking course, including a 1,433m Masa-gil trail and a 412m sawdust trail, attracting over 2,000 visitors weekly.

Building on this success, an additional barefoot walking course is planned for Jin-gyo Metasequoia Road.
