G-Star, Korea’s largest gaming exhibition, celebrates its 20th anniversary at BEXCO in Busan from November 14 to 17, with a record 3,281 booths across BTC and BTB Halls.
Leading game companies, including Nexon, Krafton, Netmarble, Pearl Abyss, and SOOP, will showcase new games, with Nexon as the main sponsor.
Nexon will set up a 300-booth BTC display and lead sessions at G-Con, with CEO Myung-jin Yoon and ‘Blue Archive’ producer Yong-ha Kim presenting.
This year’s lineup includes a wide range of exciting events:
G-Con 2024: Held from November 14-15, G-Con will feature 42 sessions with notable speakers such as Kou Shibusawa (Koei Tecmo) and Yoshinori Kitase (Square Enix), bringing insights from the developers of iconic franchises like Final Fantasy and Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
G-Star Indie Showcase 2.0: This expanded showcase, in partnership with Steam, introduces a variety of indie games, with demos available at the Steam Deck Experience Zone. Unique indie titles will be available for visitors to play, from high-spec to indie classics.
Esports Tournaments and Competitions: This year, G-Star will host several esports events, including tournaments for popular games. Spectators can enjoy intense matches between top players, creating an engaging live audience experience.
Exclusive Demos and Game Previews: Many developers will offer exclusive demos for attendees, giving fans a chance to try upcoming games before release. Several major companies are expected to reveal trailers and exclusive content, creating buzz around new titles.
Merchandise and Collector’s Items: Fans can browse a variety of gaming merchandise, including limited-edition items and collector’s editions from major game titles, with exclusive G-Star 2024 memorabilia available.
The G-Star app has also been updated for ticketing and networking, while enhanced safety measures, including increased security, aim to ensure a safe event environment.
This year’s G-Star is set to provide immersive experiences, networking opportunities, and a range of events that will appeal to gamers, industry professionals, and international attendees alike.
