Visiting South Korea and attempting to see the sights using public transportation can be daunting if you don’t know how to purchase tickets or a rail pass. Check out the KORAIL PASS! It’s a special ticket exclusively for foreigners visiting Korea and features unlimited trips on the KORAIL-managed trains for 2 to 5 days depending on which non-refundable ticket you purchase (starting from 121,000 KRW). Enjoy access to all KORAIL-run railroad services, including the high-speed KTX, ITX, and regular tourist trains. (Note: SRT, metro, temporary tourist trains are not included.)

The KORAIL has two types of travel passes: a consecutive and a flexible pass. The consecutive pass allows you enjoy 3 or 5 consecutive days. Travelers can use the train during 2 or 4 selected days with a flexible pass. Get your KORAIL PASS at any of the KORAIL travel centers or designated travel agents.

The pass is also available to purchase online, just make sure the information you enter matches your valid passport. To ride, make sure to bring your printed KORAIL PASS and passport with you. KORAIL PASS is meant to leave the headache out of traveling around Korea, so why not take advantage the next time you travel in?

(Note: KORAIL PASS can only be used by the person whose name in on the pass. Changing personal information or pass type is not possible after purchase. Only the ‘first date’ can be changed only one time before the start of use. It is illegal to sell or lend the pass to a third party.)
