The 2024 Busan International Fisheries Expo (BISFE 2024) will take place from November 6 to 8 at BEXCO Hall 1, hosted by Busan City and the Korea Fisheries Trade Association.
This event, the largest of its kind in Korea, will feature 380 companies from 22 countries, displaying products across 462 booths to promote the fisheries and seafood industries both domestically and internationally.
BISFE 2024 aims to support sustainable fisheries, enhance fishery product safety, and stimulate market opportunities abroad.
The event will be packed with activities, including an opening ceremony on November 6 at 2 p.m., followed by exhibition events, international trade meetings, academic conferences, and a variety of special side events.
The expo, which began in 2003, has grown into Korea’s largest fisheries exhibition, positioning Busan as a global maritime hub.
Over 100 international companies from countries such as the United States, Vietnam, and China will participate, boosting opportunities for Korean fisheries to expand internationally.
Key attractions include the seafood exhibition hall, the fisheries equipment and materials center, and a joint venture zone for marine and fisheries startups.
The international trade section will host business matching events, with invited buyers and global consultation sessions aimed at fostering overseas market entry.
The expo will also feature the Busan Fisheries Policy Forum, the International Academic Conference of the Korean Society of Fisheries Sciences, and a unique Aquascape Competition, providing visitors with a wide array of educational and interactive experiences.
A direct seafood marketplace will offer visitors discounted prices on fresh seafood, and a special tasting event, themed around a “black and white seafood competition,” will add to the festivities.
