Travelers can now view food prices at highway rest areas across South Korea, allowing for more budget-friendly choices when stopping to refuel.

Korea Expressway Corporation announced on the 4th that it has launched a pilot operation of a new “Rest Area Food Price Disclosure System.”

This system provides information on the prices of the top 10 best-selling items, including popular options like udon, pork cutlet, soup, bibimbap, ramen, walnut cookies, tteok skewers, hot dogs, Americano, and cafe lattes, organized by each rest area and route.

This new system aims to address these concerns by offering a transparent price comparison tool. Visitors to the Korea Expressway Corporation website (www.ex.co.kr) can now find detailed pricing information, including the lowest, highest, and average costs for each product across all rest areas.

Based on feedback from the pilot operation, Korea Expressway Corporation will refine the system, with a full rollout planned for late November.
