U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Patrick Aranda, 36th Fighter Generation Squadron weapons load crew member, left, Staff Sgt. Sydney Starkey, 36th FGS weapons load crew chief, secures an AIM-9X Sidewinder from an F-16 Fighting Falcon at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Feb. 14, 2025. They were performing an Integrated Combat Turnaround certification which required members of the 36th FGS to remove munitions from an F-16 and replace those munitions while the aircraft’s engine was running and refueling was taking place. This certification allows them to rearm and return F-16s back into the fight significantly faster.
