National Heritage Media Art Exhibition (Gyeongnam province)
Gyeongnam province will host the 2025 National Heritage Media Art Exhibition across three historic sites: Jinjuseong Fortress from August 15–September 7, Tongyeong’s Samdosugun Tongjeyeong from September 26–October 27, and Yangsan’s Tongdosa Temple from October 3–29.
The event uses cutting-edge digital technologies such as media façades, laser shows, and holograms to reinterpret the heritage value of these landmarks, blending history and innovation to create immersive nighttime experiences.
The Jinjuseong program, themed “Jinjuseongdo, a City of Innovation,” will combine the site’s history and spirit with future-oriented artistic creations.
Tongjeyeong’s “Light of Peace” will showcase around 10 programs that bring its 300-year naval history to life.
At Tongdosa, “The Light of Prose” will invite visitors on an inner journey of enlightenment expressed through light.
Gyeongnam officials said the series aims to merge tradition and modernity, offering residents and visitors unique cultural encounters that highlight the province’s rich heritage.
