The internationally acclaimed musical Aladdin will make its way to Busan’s Dream Theater on July 11, marking the final stop of its Korean premiere run after its successful performances in Seoul.

The Busan production will run until September 28, offering audiences a chance to experience the magic of Agrabah live on stage.

Since its Broadway debut in 2014, Aladdin has captivated over 21 million viewers worldwide.

The Busan performance, set to conclude the musical’s first-ever run in Korea, promises to bring the beloved story to life with dazzling stage effects, intricate choreography, and iconic music by composer Alan Menken.

The show features classics like A Whole New World and Friend Like Me, along with stunning illusions and elaborate costumes that create a visually spectacular experience.

Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw leads the production, with a cast of 37 world-class performers.

The title role of Aladdin will be played by Kim Junsu, Seo Kyung-soo, and Park Kang-hyun, while Jeong Seong-hwa, Jeong Won-young, and Kang Hong-seok take on the role of Genie.

The cast also includes Lee Sung-kyung, Min Kyung-ah, and Choi Ji-hye as Jasmine, along with a highly skilled ensemble that has contributed to the show’s box office success in Korea.

Originally released as an animated film in 1992, Aladdin tells a tale of adventure, romance, and friendship set in the mystical city of Agrabah. Unlike the animated version, the stage adaptation introduces three new characters—Qasim, Omar, and Babkak—Aladdin’s close friends, adding depth to the story.

Busan’s Dream Theater, Korea’s largest musical venue, previously hosted the blockbuster production The Lion King.

Further details, including ticket sales, will be announced soon.
