The Broadway musical “Wicked,” currently touring Korea in three cities, has confirmed its Busan opening for November 13 at the Dream Theater.
This marks the first original Broadway production to perform in Korea in 13 years since its Korean premiere.
Due to the scale of the show, which requires nearly three weeks to install the stage, regional performances are rare. Only Daegu in 2016 and Busan in 2021 previously hosted the production, both as Korean-language licensed versions.
The Busan cast will be the same as the Seoul run, which opened on July 12 at Blue Square Shinhan Card Hall and continues until October 26.
The lineup includes Courtney Monsma as Glinda, Sheridan Adams as Elphaba, and Zoe Coppinger as the alternate, along with veteran supporting actors who have been performing together for about three years.
Ticket sales for the Busan performances will be announced later. Meanwhile, Seoul tickets remain available until the final show on October 26, with sales for the last round opening at 2 p.m. on the 28th.
A 10% discount will be offered for tickets purchased during the Chuseok holiday period, October 5–9.
