The nights of Seoul’s Hangang will shine bright this fall as the city announced the 2025 Seoul Light Hangang Bitseom Festival, set to take place at Ttukseom Hangang Park from October 3 to 12.

This large-scale laser and media art event, organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, rotates annually across Hangang’s islands.

Following Seoraeseom in 2023 and Yeouido in 2024, this year’s festival will transform Ttukseom into a stage of light under the theme “Spectra of Light.”

The festival’s signature “3L” program includes:

Laser Art: Seven large-scale laser works by international and Korean media artists such as TUNDRA, Video Phase, and Yoo Hwan will immerse visitors in light-filled landscapes.

Light Run: On October 11, 3,000 participants will carry light sticks during a 5 km night run, creating a collective moving artwork. A portion of the participation fee will be donated to support visually impaired children.

Light Lecture: Short, impactful outdoor talks by renowned speakers including Kwak Jae-sik, Kim Kyung-il, and Shim Chae-kyung will take place October 10–11, blending science, art, and performance.

New features this year include light sculptures designed by students from Korea, Kyung Hee, and Ewha universities, a Chuseok-themed “Light Play” program, a light-inspired fashion show, and a Disney-themed experience zone, making it a festival for families, couples, and friends alike.

Festival information and updates will be available on the official website (www.bitseomfestival.com) and Instagram (@mediaartseoul).
