From July 25 to 27, Song Sang-hyun Square Fountain Plaza in Busanjin-gu will transform into a garden of national pride as the city hosts the My 40th National Flower Rose of Sharon Exhibition.

The event invites citizens to experience the beauty and symbolism of Korea’s national flower through a vibrant cultural display.

More than 1,000 Rose of Sharon (Mugunghwa) blossoms of various varieties, lovingly cultivated over 40 years, will be on display. The exhibition goes beyond visual enjoyment, offering interactive experiences designed to engage all five senses.

Visitors can craft their own floral fans at the “Make a Rose of Sharon Fan” booth, sip floral tea in the tasting corner, and take memorable photos in the Mugunghwa photo zone decorated with oversized letters and floral arrangements, perfect for social media snapshots.

This year’s exhibition is also linked to the upcoming 106th National Sports Festival, to be held in Busan this October.

The collaboration promotes both floral and athletic spirit, celebrating Korea’s strength and beauty through nature and sports.
