Hadong-gun has introduced 11 scenic spots perfect for autumn, part of its 2023-2024 “Hadong Hot Places” campaign, which highlights 44 locations across the region.

These destinations were selected to showcase Hadong’s natural beauty, cultural richness, and delicious food, offering visitors the perfect fall getaway.

Following the release of summer hotspots in July, here are the top 11 places to explore during the crisp fall season.

1. Lala Bukcheon

Located in Bukcheon-myeon, known for its fall-blooming cosmos flowers, Lala Bukcheon offers a large garden, vegetable patch, and a restaurant where you can enjoy seasonal dishes crafted by Chef Lala. It’s a picturesque stop for those who love flowers and great food.

2. Geumchon 103

A cafe in Bukcheon-myeon’s Hwangtojae, Geumchon 103 is the perfect place to capture stunning views of cosmos fields. The yellow building blends harmoniously with the golden autumn landscape, making it ideal for photography enthusiasts.

3. Cheongryong-ri Ginkgo Tree

In Okjong-myeon, a 600-year-old ginkgo tree stands tall at 38 meters, turning a vibrant yellow in autumn. This ancient tree, designated as Gyeongsangnam-do Monument No. 253, serves as a beloved guardian spirit for the local village.

4. Euisin Bear Village

Located in Hwagae-myeon’s Euisin Village, this ecological village was created to protect the endangered Asiatic black bear and foster human-nature harmony. In the fall, the autumn foliage offers a beautiful backdrop for viewing the bears.

5. Big Ferry Com

A charming souvenir shop at the entrance of Choi Cham-pan’s House in Akyang-myeon, Big Ferry Com offers local treats such as Akyang makgeolli, wine, snacks, and unique souvenirs, making it a popular stop for both tourists and locals.

6. Hadong Bookstore

Housed in the Akyang Living Culture Center, this cultural space occupies the former Chukji Elementary School, which closed in 1999. Fall, the season of reading, is the perfect time to visit this quiet spot and nourish your mind.

7. Chujiri Munamsong

Designated as Natural Monument No. 491, Munamsong in Akyang-myeon is a poet’s retreat, known for its artistic gatherings. Resting on a large rock, this uniquely shaped tree is a peaceful spot for reflection and a beloved local landmark.

8. Jogae Island Campground

Nestled in Gojeon-myeon, this campground boasts stunning views where the Seomjin River meets the sea. Whether camping with a tent, caravan, or camper van, it’s a perfect spot to enjoy the autumn sunset.

9. Cafe Jeongseori

Located in Akyang-myeon, this cozy cafe offers panoramic views of trees, skies, and rice fields through its large windows, creating a serene picture-frame effect. Known for its curated picture books and famous cream lattes, it’s a peaceful spot for unwinding.

10. Goha Burger

A hit among locals and visitors, Goha Burger offers handmade burgers crafted from fresh ingredients. The renovated Nonghyup warehouse space has a spacious, stylish interior, making it a perfect stop for a delicious and hearty meal.

11. Seasonal Fruit

This cafe in Hadong-eup specializes in seasonal treats, including fruit waffles and grilled vegetable sandwiches. Visitors can rent picnic sets to enjoy a relaxed afternoon in Songnim Park while savoring the best seasonal flavors Hadong has to offer.
