The 2023 Seoul Beauty Travel Week, launched on October 3 under the theme “One week of travel to discover the beauty of Seoul,” concluded on October 9.
Hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the “2023 Seoul Beauty Travel Week” was the second following its predecessor held in Jongno-gu in 2022. Various regional landmarks in Yongsan-gu were where this year’s event was held; with diverse events, the Seoul Beauty Travel Week metamorphosed into a place of festivity to enjoy the beautiful lifestyle in Seoul.
The numerous visitors to the 2023 event fully enjoyed the varied events, sights, and food under the three themes of Revive, Refresh, and Rejuvenate amid the clear, crisp autumn weather. In particular, the Yongsan region’s exotic sights and the everyday life of Seoul contained within were portrayed in a setting resembling an actual home at the Seoul Beauty House. Inside, information on participating businesses and events allowed for photographing (selfies), drawing attention.
The Yongsan region combines the most exotic and diverse cultures in Seoul and is an essential part of Seoul’s modern and contemporary history. Nature is abundant, including the Hangang River, numerous parks, multiple galleries, memorials, and museums of art and history, with the National Museum of Korea at the fore. This event introduces the charming locations and experiences unique to Yongsan-gu to tourists from Korea and abroad.
For the theme “Revive,” sports and leisure clothing brands, including andar and Fair Play, provided various programs; for the theme “Refreshed,” food and beverage retailers in the Yongsan-gu region, including samsamsam and Teddy Beurre participated; for the theme “Rejuvenated,” the National Museum of Korea and the National Hangeul Museum took part. In addition, a wide variety of collaborative programs with the Chwihyanggwan culture salon, including fox, the green and gardening programs, were presented.
Mayor of Seoul Oh Se-Hoon visited the Seoul Beauty House in Yongsan Park, the base of the “2023 Seoul Beauty Travel Week,” with Director Teo Yang, to tour the venue overall.
Mayor Oh said, “K-culture content is highly popular globally. Accordingly, domestic and international tourists’ demand for experiencing the K-lifestyle has been increasing.
