Seoul has announced the opening of the ‘2023 Seoul Beauty Travel Week’, an event to savor the beautiful lifestyle of Seoul, spanning over a seven-day period from October 3rd to the 9th,
Celebrating its second year, the ‘Seoul Beauty Travel Week’ was initiated with the purpose of redefining the concept of ‘beauty’ through experiencing the lifestyles in Seoul amidst the global hype for Korean pop-culture (Hallyu), spanning music, movies, beauty, and cuisine.
‘The 2023 Seoul Beauty Travel Week’ will be hosted in Yongsan-gu, known for its exotic and diverse culture among the numerous parks and natural attractions. Notably, the event utilizes various programs and experiences centered around the Yongsan Park Officers’ Quarters District 5, opened recently to the public, offering various forms of entertainment for the participants.
Following the previous year, the event was planned and overseen by a globally renowned spatial designer and Seoul City’s honorary ambassador, Yang Tae-Oh.
The ‘2023 Seoul Beauty Travel Week’, under the slogan ‘A One-Week Journey of Discovering the Hidden Beauty of Seoul’, introduces 30 unique attractions and experiences only available at Yongsan-gu under the three themes of ▲ 쉼(Revive), ▲ 맛(Refresh), and ▲ 멋(Rejuvenate).
The first theme ‘Revive’ provides an opportunity to contemplate the significance of relaxation among nature within the city. It introduces a total of 10 parks, including Yongsan Family Park, Hyochang Park, Ichon Hangang Park, and Namsan Park.
The second theme ‘Refresh’ reflects on the importance of a meticulously prepared meal, and accounts of experiences to a level of purification and beauty synonymous with the saying of ‘You are what you eat’. It introduces 10 participating establishments, including Tartine Bakery Hannam, Osulloc Tea House Hannam Branch, Maxim Plant, Maha Hannam, Parc, Sam Sam Sam, and Teddy Beurre House.

The 10 institutions consist of the National Museum of Korea, National Hangeul Museum, Yongsan History Museum, Pace Gallery, Gallery Baton, Lehmann Maupin, and Leeum Store.
During the event, the Yongsan Park Officers’ Quarters District 5 will be transformed into ‘Seoul Beauty House’. A dedicated exhibition space to display Yongsan’s unique lifestyle, the Beauty House will hold various experience classes and exhibitions. Paying respect to the historical and cultural legacy of the city of Yongsan and its officers’ quarters, a variety of exotic and retro themed exhibits will take place, including the athleisure brand Andar’s family yoga program, kids’ ballet, and kids’ American football classes. Partnered with the outdoor curation platform ‘PairPlay’, outdoor activity classes consisting of running through Gyeongnidan-gil, trekking across Hanyangdoseong trail, sunset-yoga at the Ichon Hangang Park, and bike tours using Seoul’s shared bicycle, ‘Ddareungi’ are available.
Moreover, complimentary gifts are available for participants checking in through the ‘BOOLOCALLY’ app, verifying their visits (more than 3 locations) in the establishments recommended by the ‘2023 Seoul Beauty Travel Week’.
