Gaya Cultural Festival (Gimhae City)
The 2025 Gaya Cultural Festival will officially open on April 10, with a pre-promotion parade held on April 5 drawing crowds at Yeonji Park and the Lotte Premium Outlet in Gimhae.
The lively parade served as a preview of the upcoming festival, blending tradition and modern performance. It featured participants in traditional Gaya-era costumes, elegant choreography by the Gimhae Plum Dance Company, a comedic street performance by Gimhae O-Gwangdae, and a high-energy b-boy showcase all set against the backdrop of a bustling spring weekend.
The main events of the Gaya Cultural Festival will run from April 10 to 13 at the Daeseong-dong Ancient Tombs and across central Gimhae.
Programming will include the King Suro Procession Parade, the Gaya Fantasia performance, and an immersive media facade show, all designed to bring the mythology and legacy of Gaya to life.
In light of the recent wildfires in the Yeongnam region, the city has canceled all fireworks displays and will proceed with the festival in a more subdued and respectful tone.
