(Geumwon Mountain Forest Concert)

The 16th Geumwonsan Forest Music Festival will run from August 1st to 7th at the outdoor stage in the Geumwonsan Natural Recreation Forest.

This year’s festival, themed ‘Music Garden,’ will feature a diverse lineup including folk, trot, traditional Korean music, and musicals.

Performers include Lee Se-jun of Glass Box, as well as local talents such as Geochang Theater High School and the Romantic Ajjae Band, ensuring a wide range of performances for all ages.

In addition to the musical performances, attendees can participate in crafting activities like making wooden pendants and sachets, and enjoy a themed photo zone.

The festival aims to provide a midsummer night’s cultural event for visitors to the Geumwonsan Recreational Forest, having been held annually since its inception in 2007.

The Geumwonsan Forest Resource Management Office, which oversees the festival, offers various accommodations and camping facilities, along with a specialized alpine arboretum featuring rare and unique plants such as an alpine rock garden, medicinal herb garden, alpine wetland garden, and a fir tree species preservation center, all located along a pristine valley in Wicheon-myeon, Geochang-gun.
