In celebration of Chuseok, the Gimhae Cultural Tourism Foundation will host a “Hangawi Holiday Event” featuring full moon viewing and a spectacular fireworks show at Gaya Theme Park and the Gimhae Observatory.
On September 14th, the first day of the holiday, visitors can participate in the “Adventure Folk Games” event at 2 p.m. at Gaya Theme Park’s Musa Adventure area.
Traditional Korean games like jegichagi, ring toss, and taggichigi will be available for attendees to enjoy. At 8 p.m., the night sky will be illuminated by a fireworks display.
From September 16th to 18th, Gimhae Astronomical Observatory will host a “Hangawi Full Moon” event, offering full moon observations and a range of interactive activities.
Sessions will be held twice daily, at 7:50 p.m. and 9:10 p.m., with spots available for 40 people via pre-registration and 30 walk-in participants.
The program includes astronomical explanations, full moon wish card writing, and moon map poster activities for children.
