The 20th Hapcheon Arts Festiva will take place from August 18 to 31 at Ilhae Park in Hapcheon-eup.

This festival, organized by the Hapcheon Chapter of the Korean Federation of Arts and Culture Organizations (Chairman Lee Jeom-yong), offers a diverse array of artistic performances and exhibitions under the theme “Art is a Dream! Hapcheon, Dreaming That Dream.”

The festival will feature exhibitions, including the Writers Association’s Park Poetry Exhibition and the Art and Photographers Association’s Member Exhibition, showcasing a variety of artworks.

The highlight of the festival will be four days of performances starting with the opening ceremony on August 27 at 6:30 p.m.

The opening event will feature a celebratory concert titled “Concert Hue,” with performances by singers Bin Ye-seo, Chae Su-hyeon, Hwang Hye-rim, Son Bin-ah, Jeong Mi-ae, and Shin Seung-tae. The event will be hosted by popular MC Ha Myung-ji.

On the second day, the Gugak Hanmadang event, hosted by the Gugak Association, will present traditional Korean performances, including Pyeongsijo, Seo Han-woo-ryu Beokku Dance, Gayageum Byeongchang, Buchaechum, and a special performance by the fusion gugak band Queen.

The third day will feature a poetry recitation event hosted by the Literary Association, with 10 local celebrities, a literary lecture by poet Ko Du-hyeon, and a special performance by Deo Cross Ensemble.

The festival will conclude with the “Happy Concert with the Citizens,” hosted by the Music Association, featuring performances by the Hapcheon Saxophone group, Hapcheon-gun Choir, and Music Travel.
