After a major renovation, Hyundai Department Store in Dong-gu reopens on September 6th as “Connect Hyundai,” a dynamic retail space that blends department store luxury, outlet value, and entertainment.

Visitors can explore 240 brands spread across 14 floors, with each area offering a unique experience.

On the first floor, you’ll find “The Visionary,” a 5m-tall sculpture by designer Jaime Hayon.

The ninth floor introduces “Culture Connect,” a modern cultural center offering short-term courses and premium experiences, especially for children.

Connect Hyundai also caters to the MZ generation, with K-fashion and trendy food brands like Godiva Bakery on the first floor and Market 125 on the second basement level.

Local favorites like Busan National University’s “Butter Record” and top tteokbokki spot “Darijip” add a regional flavor.

Shoppers can enjoy a mix of regular and discounted items, with floors dedicated to both. Look out for significant discounts on brands like Nike and luxury goods on the sixth floor, and explore pop-ups from IKEA and Modern House on the eighth floor.

Special events, including giveaways of exclusive “Balansa Gym Bags” and local collaborations, will be held through September 8th, making this reopening a must-visit destination in Busan.
