KOREA

If you’re facing a PCS move or doing a bit of spring cleaning, you’ll probably look to sell your old furniture or other items on social media. Sometimes, you might find it’s a little tricky to find a new owner for your item. But don’t worry, there’s an app in Korea that can help you find a new home for your unwanted items.

Karrot Market (or Danggen) is a community-based app, meaning it allows you to sell your items to people in your neighborhood. The app sets limits so you can only sell and buy items within a 6-kilometer radius.

Besides limiting the sell/buy location, Karrot Market is pretty easy to use. Upload your photos from your phone and add the descriptions. You’ll find a range of items for sale, ranging from cars to free items like extra clothespins.

The English version of the app is available for download for free on the Google Play and iOS App Store.
