The ‘Tour de Gyeongnam 2024,’ inspired by the famed Tour de France, is set to bring fierce competition to South Korea’s southern coast from November 7 to 11.

The race, organized by Gyeongsangnam-do Province in collaboration with the Gyeongsangnam-do Sports Association and the Korea Cycling Federation, features the nation’s top cyclists vying for victory, particularly on the 65km Namhae-gun course on November 9.

This year’s event aims to showcase Gyeongnam’s scenic southern coastline and the historic sites of Admiral Yi Sun-sin to both domestic and international audiences.

Covering a total distance of 300 km, participants will ride through Tongyeong, Geoje, Namhae, and Changwon over four days.

The Namhae County race, starting from Chungnyeolsa Shrine at 9:30 a.m., will take cyclists through key landmarks, including Yi Sun-sin Marine Park, Seomyeon Sports Park, and the Mask Performance Museum, ending at Seolcheonmyeon Rotary Park.

This competition will attract elite cyclists ranked in the top 300 by the Korea Cycling Federation, ensuring a high-caliber event.

Next year, the event is set to grow further, becoming the internationally recognized ‘Tour de Gyeongnam 2025’ and welcoming world-class cyclists under the endorsement of the International Cycling Union (UCI).
