Sledding is a great winter activity for families since it’s safe, enjoyable and requires no special clothing or equipment. Simply visit one of the many sledding spots and have a blast in the snow! Check out these fun sledding areas near Seoul, bases in Pyeongtaek and Daegu.

One Mount Snow Park
One Mount Snow Park is a unique sledding park and a favorite winter spot for families in Korea. Themed after the Finnish Santa Claus Village, it offers a winter wonderland and a sledding paradise for children who can choose from a variety of fun sleds: shopping cart sleds, bicycle sleds, kart sleds, seal sleds, and more. The park features an indoor ice rink, an outdoor snow sledding area, and Santa Claus Village photo zone.
In addition to sledding, spectacular shows are held at the park’s indoor ice rink throughout the day. Children will be captivated by the aurora, bubble and snow shows. Parking is free for up to 5 hours, with an additional fee of 500 won per 10 minutes thereafter.

Korean Folk Village Sledding Hills
Korean Folk Village in Yongin is the perfect place to visit during the winter. The village hosts a winter festival where visitors can enjoy not only snow sledding but also ice sledding on an outdoor ice rink, ice fishing and warm winter snacks. There is no separate ticket required for the sledding area if you’ve already purchased the pass to enter Korean Folk Village.
Moreover, the village celebrates Seollal, Lunar New Year during January with various special events. Many parents bring their kids to enjoy traditional Korean folk games, cultural experiences and a variety of attractions in the amusement park area. Korean Folk Village is close to the bases in Pyeongtaek, taking only 40-50 minutes by car.
Snow Buster at Everland
Everland is a popular winter destination for many families, featuring a large and fun sledding area during the winter. Everland operates a variety of slopes, including a family course that everyone can enjoy safely, and an express course — a fast and thrilling ride a group of four can enjoy together that is a favorite among teens and young adults. The racing course is another exciting option, allowing individuals to ride a long, speedy slope.
Anyone with an Everland pass can enter the sledding area at no extra charge. If you want to enjoy a variety of fun attractions such as Safari World, Zootopia, a parade and illuminations after your sledding adventure, Everland is a great spot for the whole family. However, if you’re only looking to ride sleds, you may want to take a look at the other options below in the Pyeongtaek area.
Mt. Moobong Youth Camp (무봉산 수련원)
This camp has separate slopes for adults and children and is only a 20-minute drive from Osan Air Base. It’s a beloved destination for many Pyeongtaek residents looking for a light winter family outing at an affordable price. The parking is spacious and free of charge, and there is a small snack shop inside.

Anseong Matchum Land is a wonderful spot for family outings, featuring campsites and a swimming pool during the summer, and a year-round sledding hill. Sledding is very affordable and features a large snow hill that is enjoyable for both kids and adults. Free parking and a small snack shop are also available.

Anseong Farmland (안성팜랜드)
Anseong Farmland is a famous family-friendly spot in Korea. During the winter, you can enjoy snow sledding here! Anyone who pays the entrance fee can use the sledding field without extra fees. This spot has a relatively smaller sledding area compared to the others, so it’s great for children under 10 years of age. In addition to sledding, you can also enjoy ice fishing (extra fee: 5,000 won). There are restaurants and cafés inside or pack a lunch to enjoy on the premises. Parking is free.
Snow World at Eworld
Eworld, the magical park in Daegu, opens its seasonal sledding area Snow World during the winter. It’s a short distance away for U.S. military community members in Daegu. The sledding area is one of the attractions at Eworld, so if you already have an Eworld pass, you can enjoy sledding without purchasing a separate ticket. However, sledding at Eworld can be an expensive option if you’re only looking for sledding. Consider this place if you want to enjoy not only the sledding area but also fireworks, illuminations and other attractions at the park. It’s a fun winter escape in the heart of the city. The sledding area consists of a large 130m slope, a thrilling slide, kid-friendly slides, and fun photo zones.
Gasan Supia (가산 수피아)
This beautiful garden-themed park is a great year-round destination to enjoy a variety of gardens, including a dinosaur-themed one. During this time of the year, the park offers various winter activities such as a sledge snow tube, snow playground, and ice fishing with the package ticket for the snow area. Free parking is available. Outside food is not allowed.
