Daegu Metropolitan City, in partnership with the Palgongsan National Park Eastern Office, is launching a special Daegu City Tour route that allows visitors to explore Palgongsan for just 1,000 won.

This exclusive tour operates on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of every month from March to October and aims to showcase the hidden charms of Palgongsan following its national park designation.

The tour features two unique routes designed for different experiences. The ‘Self-Tour’, available on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, invites participants to immerse themselves in nature while exploring Palgongsan’s historical landmarks.

Stops include Bulrodong Ancient Tombs, dating back to the Three Kingdoms Period, Donghwasa Temple, established during the Silla Dynasty, and Buinsa Temple, where the Goryeo Tripitaka Koreana was enshrined.

Visitors can also take part in archery activities at Donghwasa and experience inscription rubbings at Buinsa.

The ‘Dam-a-bam Tour’, running on the 4th Sunday of each month, offers a more nature-focused itinerary.

Led by park rangers, the tour begins at the Gyeongbuk National University Museum of Natural History, showcasing rocks, fossils, and wildlife. It then visits National Treasure No. 109, the Gunwi Amitabha Buddha Triad Stone Grotto, before concluding at Hanbam Village, known for its stunning stone walls.

This tour highlights the terrain, climate, and ecological significance of Palgongsan, emphasizing conservation awareness.

All participants on this special tour will receive a souvenir, making the trip not only affordable but also rewarding.

Reservations can be made through the Daegu City Tour website (www.daegucitytour.com).
