Proudly presented by the Busan International Comedy Festival, the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow is back in Korea for a second year, bringing a fantastically funny line-up from the world’s biggest and much-loved comedy festival.
This side-splitting show is set to be a highlight of the English program, with a cast hand-picked by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
The line-up features two of Australia’s brightest comedy stars: the multi-award-winning Zoë Coombs Marr and the popular Sri Lankan-born Australian comedian Dilruk Jayasinha.
Each night, they’ll be joined by a special guest from the local comedy scene for a night of sharp, world-class entertainment.
Dilruk Jayasinha: “You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more buoyant, joyful comedian.” – Pedestrian (Australia)
Zoë Coombs Marr: “Deliriously funny… Stand-up at its subversive best.” ★★★★ – Evening Standard (UK)
“Getting invited to perform in Busan is easily one of the most exciting things to happen to me all year!” said Dilruk. “I’ve never been to South Korea before and all my colleagues who’ve been to BICF over the last few years have said so many wonderful things. I can’t wait to get stuck into all the fun and delicious food!”
Since 2015, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival has collaborated with South Asian artists through shows such as Comedy Zone Asia and the Asian Allstars Gala, while also touring its Roadshow across Singapore, Hong Kong, and India.
At the 12th Busan International Comedy Festival in 2024, the Roadshow was one of the standout events, winning the Sea of Laughter Award for Best International Comedic Act. This year, the limited three-show run promises more unforgettable laughs.
