BAMA 2025 (City of Busan)

The beloved exhibition that drew 150,000 visitors at Seoul’s Hangaram Design Museum, Michel Delacroix Solo Exhibition, is making its way to Busan.

The Busan Gallery Association announced that the 14th Busan International Gallery Art Fair (BAMA), taking place in 2025, will feature a special spotlight exhibition on French painter Michel Delacroix.

Titled “Paris Streets in Memory,” the exhibition will showcase Delacroix’s nostalgic depictions of post-war Paris, brought to life through his signature warm palette and whimsical, fairytale-like scenes.

Born in Paris and shaped by his experiences during World War II, Delacroix’s work captures a tender and personal view of the French capital through the lens of childhood memory. Since beginning his artistic career in the 1970s, he has remained dedicated to the theme of “the city in memory,” evoking timeless charm in urban storytelling.

“This marks the first comprehensive exhibition of Michel Delacroix’s work in the Yeongnam region following its successful run in Seoul,” said BAMA organizers. “Visitors will be able to experience the heart of Paris as seen through the eyes of a single artist, including many of his major works and rare pieces.”

The 2025 BAMA Art Fair will open with a VIP and press preview on April 3 (3–8 PM) at BEXCO’s Exhibition Center 1, Halls 1 and 2. The fair opens to the public from April 4 to 6 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will include a range of special exhibitions:
